Daria + Andy Photography Blog bio picture

Welcome to Daria + Andy's blog!

Daria Bishop Photographers is us, Daria and Andy Bishop, a wife and husband team…and we specialize in exceptional wedding photography!  We realize that each wedding is as unique as you are, so we approach each wedding with new eyes and a fresh perspective.

A wedding can take a year or more to plan but ends in a day.  We capture the love, romance, people, emotion and details, which you’ve worked so hard to bring together and that tell the story of your amazing day.  Our distinctive and award-winning style combines real moments with the magic from your wedding so you can remember and cherish your celebration for the joyous years to come.

We're totally in love with each other, our two beautiful children Summer and Baxter, our dog, Yeti and cat, Lucky.  We are passionate about photography, love, and life, and truly enjoy the fabulous couples we get to meet along the way!

We would be honored and thrilled to photograph your wedding!

family life: Happy Campers

While I prepare images from Bina + Andy’s big day, I thought it would be a good time to talk about how much I am missing my kids!  :)

On Sunday we dropped our kids off for the first time at a sleep-away camp, called Camp Billings, where they’ll live for TWO WEEKS!  That’s two weeks without hugs and kisses and giggles and snuggles!  Brutal.  But since you always have to look on the bright side, our son reminded us, “Now that you don’t have to worry about us, you can get more work done.” Don’t you love a kid’s perspective? So while they are making new friends and having all sorts of great new adventures, we are working like crazy! We are also taking some time to have a few fun dates and get some exercise. So I think it will be a good two weeks for everyone.

My friend Patty and me with the girls by their camp home.  It was comforting to know the kids would be with their pals from home.

Boys!

Does this look like the face of a kid who will remember to write to his parents? hmmmm….

One last smooch for Summer!

Lucky has been a bit depressed since Summer’s been gone.

Since we can only communicate by letters…imagine how exciting it was to find this in the mailbox today!!  But guess who hasn’t written yet.  I suppose it’s a sign that he’s having the time of his life! :)

August 12, 2009 - 4:05 pm Jaquelin - I can't believe they're away for 2 weeks. I don't think I could even do that. Oh wait. Well anyway, I LOVE the picture of you kissing Summer, and the two with Andy, one with Summer and one with Baxter. SO GOOD! Hope you're both doing well! XOXO

August 12, 2009 - 4:10 pm daria - So fun to see a comment from you on the blog! We miss you!! xo

August 12, 2009 - 4:47 pm Hope Murphy - I bet they are having a blast! Mason and Ryan want to go to an "away camp" next summer... we'll see! I did a camp when I was growing up where I went away every other week for 5 days, and the alternating week was a day camp. It was great for all of us!

August 12, 2009 - 6:21 pm Josie Andersen - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture of Andy hugging Summer!!! Both of them just have the greatest expressions! And, I know the "you can stop taking pictures now" expression very well from my own little man!

August 12, 2009 - 7:16 pm Jackie - AHhh OMG I miss them!! I can't believe they are away from home for so long! I laughed out loud when I read what Baxter said about them going off to camp - hope you wrote that one down and stuck it in the drawer!! <3

August 12, 2009 - 8:44 pm deenie - The BEST times of my life were at camp (Ecole Champlain in Ferrisburg,VT) My sisters were in Fairlee once called Aloha Hive. I started as a 9 year old camper and stayed with the camp 9 summers (8 weeks each year!)until I was the HEAD of the Senior Camp Division when I was 19 years young- and even went to France on a summer program with them! I can only hope that your kids will delight in the memories each and every day after they come home- and can plan a mid winters' reunion to get them geared up for NEXT year! Honest!

August 12, 2009 - 10:10 pm Honey and Papa - From Honey: I enjoyed all the pictures. It reminded me of many camping experiences I have had. From Papa: My favorite picture is of walking to the boys' cabin with Summer and Andy holding hands.

August 13, 2009 - 9:34 am Kathleen - Aww, I just had a heart twinge looking at photos of you leaving the kiddos at camp. I'm sure they are having a blast (I hope Baxter is feeling better), but saying "Ciao" for two weeks: wow! I used to be a camp counselor (former camper) at a fabulous camp in West Ossipee, NH (Camp Calumet Lutheran) and simply LOVED every day of my summer there! ::fond memories::
