The evening before Bina + Andy’s marriage they hosted a sangeet at the Old Lantern in Charlotte. You are probably wondering what a sangeet is. I looked it up online and couldn’t find a proper definition, so I asked Bina to describe it. Here is what she said, “The sangeet is an Indian tradition, during which friends and family shower the bride and groom with music, dance, and humor on the eve of their wedding. In our case, we infused this tradition with rock n roll, folk, and Americana music that our friends and relatives have listened to and celebrated with us over the years.”
The thing that she didn’t mention is that all of her friends happen to be unbelievably talented musicians, dancers and speakers. They were all amazing!! Andy and I felt so honored to be a part of this extra special celebration!!
