Half of the fun of going to the fair is the people watching.  This little boy had the most amazing eyes.  His dad removed his glasses to show where he got them.  I was happy they let me snap a photo to show you!

Church Street has been taken over by cows painted by local artists in a  project called “The Cows Come Home to Burlington.”  You can read about it *HERE*.   This one was designed by my friend Poppy Gall, co-founder of Isis women’s clothes. 

This pretty cow was painted for the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties.  I have been their photographer for years and I love them!!

This long exposure shot was was a fun challenge without the use of a tripod.  I know it would have been ten times cooler with one, but can you imagine me lugging around one of those for two hours? I don’t think so.

Emily and Andy’s wedding weekend at the end of May was quite the extravaganza! We were the lucky photographers to work with them and Carrie with Storied Events for the first time, who did an amazing job of orchestrating everything. My guy Andy documented the rehearsal festivities on Friday at a private estate and we both photographed the wedding the following day at and around the Barnard Inn.
OK, true confessions: I went completely bonkers for the details! Emily has fabulous taste and they were so completely adorable I couldn’t help myself. And Danika’s flowers were ah-mazing too!! You’ll understand when you scroll through the post. Also, I will post the wedding day slideshow at the bottom.  We are so excited to share this lovely wedding with you!!

Becca and Bryant were married on an incredible late May day at the Mountain Top Inn & Resort and they had a fantastic celebration underneath sunny and warm skies! Their day was a little unusual for our typical coverage: it started out normally with me hanging out with the bridal party and Andy hanging out with Bryant and the guys. Then before the ceremony we both covered their romantic first look, a few group photos, heading onto the very beginning of the ceremony. However, then another fantastic photographer and good friend John Williams came to help cover the day while Andy headed to an earlier scheduled rehearsal dinner. John didn’t miss a beat and documented all the joy of the marvelous ceremony and the grand celebration late into the evening.  Enjoy some of our favorites!

Becca was wonderfully relaxed while getting ready. I love the south facing windows which provide great natural lighting.

Andy had the honor of getting to know Lili and Michael during their super-fun engagement session this spring in NYC, but I didn’t get to meet them until their wedding day. I was immediately smitten with both of them as they were relaxed and kind and so perfectly in love with each other. It was a simply gorgeous day for a wedding at the Pond Pavilion. It’s a great spot because everything is right there and it makes for a stress-free day.

Andrea + Brad have the distinction of being our first wedding of the 2010 season. Believe it or not, I always get butterflies when I haven’t photographed a wedding for a while, but upon meeting Andrea + Brad that nervous feeling fluttered away. They were such fun and friendly people and we had a blast all day! It really was the nicest way to start our busy season!!

A warning to brides: Be sure your veil is very secure on windy days or this might happen to you!! Thankfully, Andrea was very good humored about it.  This is just one reason she would win an award for the coolest bride ever!!

We found this cute little shop to take photos in front of. 

Just outside the shop there lived this super cute chair, that we just had to use as a prop.  This is the perfect segueway into one of my most memorable wedding day moments ever.  Andrea decided that I liked the chair so much that she bought it (and it’s mate) as gifts to Andy and me…right then and there! There was no talking her out of it!  It was truly surprising and touching!!

The chairs I mentioned earlier were delivered to the Middlebury Inn, which completely cracked us up!!  Thanks for all the fun Andrea + Brad!  We LOVE our chairs and think of you every day when we see them in our sitting room. xo
